Training
The two day course (held over a weekend) is designed to teach production techniques to fabricators with some experience with either solid surface, stone, or concrete countertops. Students will learn to turn a concrete kitchen project around quickly using locally available materials.

Mark is the general manager of Pinnacle Cast Concrete, a company specializing in concrete countertops and an international distributor of concrete countertop manufacturing equipment.
Mark has worked in the Architectural / Structural precast concrete field for the past 30 years in capacities ranging from day laborer to general manager with many stops in between. Mark has completed over 15 million square feet of projects. Mark has invented equipment and processes to streamline concrete plant operations for various clients (including himself). Mark is also the inventor of the greenest concrete countertops on the planet as well as the greenest concrete and the greenest GFRC on the planet.
Mark holds certifications from the Pre-stressed Concrete and the American Concrete Institute.
We'll provide lunch each day. Class size will be limited to 4 per session to ensure individual attention.
Training Syllabus
Day 1:
- Mix designs and mixing
- Mix design using the volumetric method for Sand, Gravel, Glass Slabs and GFRC mixes.
- Portland cement mixes, CSA mixes, admixtures, and mixing procedures will be covered.
- You will be given and taught to use mix design software capable of designing mixes, calculating volume required and printing batch tickets shaving hours per week off your routine. (MS Excel required).
- You will leave with the ability to batch your own high performance concrete for about $1.50 per square foot.
- Forming and Pouring
Day 2:
- Stripping and grinding.
- Learn the ins and outs of stripping, grinding, and patching countertops and sinks.
- Staining and Sealing

Electives such as GFRC / Fiber Optics / Stone Inlays will be covered time and student interest depending.
